When running AddEmailFilingAssistant.exe:
“EmailFilingModifier has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry….”
Event Logs show: EventID: 1023, .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3620 – Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A097772)(80131506)
So ended up adding EmailFiling.FilingAssistantControl,EmailFiling.FilingAssistantControl.FilingAssistantNavInfo to the SaveUIConfig.xml file manually
Installed Email Filing Assistant Configuration Tool but when I run it I get the same error as above.
.NET 2.0 SP2, .NET 1.1 and .NET 3.5 are all installed with latest Service Packs.
OpenText Engineer went on remotely. Ran Repair of OpenText Email Filing, checked Add/Remove Programs for .NET, checked some registry settings, reran but still getting error.
Uninstalled OpenText Email Filing and reinstalled. Same error.
He said it is probably an issue with .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and sent me a Microsoft article to repair or reinstall it.
I was able to get the Email Filing to work on another machine.
Using article from Microsoft KB908077, I unregistered and reregistered Windows Installer. I found the .NET 2.0 in the Installer cache and chose repair. After restart, no help. I downloaded the dotnetfx.exe and ran the command line repair mentioned in the article and it just said that I need to run the Install file. I tried to select Uninstall from the installer cache but it reported that programs depend on this so it wouldn’t do it! Now what am I supposed to do?
Found a cleanup utility and tried this

This seemed to uninstall all the dotnet stuff and after I reinstalled all versions and applied Windows Updates..but now the OpenText program still reports the same screen with the Debug button but now the event log doesn’t even register the .NET errors.
Reimaged the machine and now it works.
